Quoting Benjamin

Do you have any advice for aspiring musicians? “Just keep finding the guys that complement the stuff you’re trying to write and work on. That’s totally important. You gotta get the mixture of the people you want in that band. That’s all I can… just hang in there!” ~ interview with A.J. Wachtel of The Beat, October 1987

  1. Dear Donna,
Thank you for sharing this, it is so true. Love how Benjamin added “Just hang in there ” ❤ He really gave perfect advice for aspiring musicians. That perfect mix of musicians that completes a band and makes them different and also works for the music you wish to create or perform. The right mix of personalities as the complexity of band members relationships needs the right temperament to suit each other and complement the band. It sounds easy but it is damn hard but when a musician finds that mix of musicians it can be magical. Gerry has made lifelong friends from past members of his bands going back to age 14 when he first started performing. I do think the bond between the musicians of a good working band is so very strong.
Warmest regards from mild sunny Tasmania ❤
