“When I was told by Ginny Mayer before a gig that Benny had terminal cancer, I just couldn’t believe it. In fact, it took a while for me to be able to even comprehend it. Benny left us way too soon, but I will tell you this right now, he loved life and lived every single day to the fullest.” — Dante Rossi, fellow Cleveland musician of The Baskerville Hounds, Let’s Go! Benjamin Orr and The Cars, page 184

  1. Thank you Donna, for sharing, this.
What a wonderful photo of Danti. He looks so charming, full of life and with such a sense of fun or joy.
When I read Dante Rossi’s warm words about Benjamin and how he felt when he found out about Benjamin having terminal cancer in the biography I cried but also felt this sense of joy reading that his friend said that Benjamin had loved life lived every single day to the fullest. Now so many years after Benjamin passed away Dante also passed away this July and once again my eyes fill up with tears re reading his words.
I think there was a wonderful reunion when these 2 met each other again in heaven and are rockin’ it ❤
