  1. The girls wouldn’t bother with him?? Were they completely insane?!? I probably would’ve flunked all of my classes because I’d be too busy either staring at or daydreaming about him. WOW. Those girls didn’t know a good thing when they saw it! Wonder how many were eating their hearts out about 10yrs later? πŸ€”

    1. Thank you for sharing this dear friend, reading this made my busy day bearable ( medical tests ) and once again Benjamin showed just what an incredibly sweet humble man he truly was ❀
      Judging from photos of what he looked like as a youngster I cannot believe he would not have been noticed by the girls , perhaps he really did not realize it at the time. It makes me think perhaps later on when he did realize how females were reacting to him, he thought it had to do with being a musician rather than the gorgeous beautiful man he really was and then later believed it was fame. The trouble with fame is that it can make you feel insecure and if he really did believe that the girls at that early age did not take notice of him, he may have believed fame and being onstage made him so appealing to females and no wonder then he sort of felt in some ways perhaps overwhelmed by some aspects of fame. (IMOHO)
      But I may be completely wrong, just what I feel.
      Warmest regards and hugs from Tasmania scented with sweet spring blossoms ❀

      PS The B Bomb went off in my head once again πŸ˜‰ ❀ {and it was still smoldering before anyway}

  2. Lol, those girls must have been crazy! I bet they all regretted not wanting to get with Ben later in their lives. Although, Ben may have just been being humble in his statement. We’ve seen pics of him when he was young, he was adorable πŸ₯° what girl would not have wanted to be with him 😁

    1. Sherry, those photos show girls looking at Ben ADORINGLY!!!! I think our Benny was just being modest. We know the deal about Ben, he’s everything…all that and a bag of chips!πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’–

      1. I totally think so too, that he was just being humble 😊 we see the pics of how girls looked at Ben. I’m going to send you a pic you may not have noticed. It’s a girl staring at Ben, in one of the newer pics on Pinterest we have. Ben was very modest, he pretty much shrugged it off when people commented on his looks. One of his many quality’s I loved! Everything he did was adorable, but it was just his natural way πŸ₯°

  3. Aw if they weren’t bothering with him it may have been because they didn’t think they’d have a chance with someone so handsome. I’ve seen that picture of him with his classmates. I’m sure everyone else has too by now, if I have. It’s the group picture, with multiple rows of students, must be sophomore or junior year. There are probably 30 or 40 kids in the photo. Now usually you see these group high school photos of someone famous and you kind of have to look through “haha what did this famous person look like then”, they may stand out but it still might take a minute to find them.

    Nope, not in this case, he’s standing in the back row and the eye is drawn to him almost immediately, he is by far the best looking kid, male or female, in that photo.

    1. Agreed. I think his statement is either him downplaying his actual popularity, or it is indicative of how skewed his perception of himself was. I remember Wayne Weston saying something along the lines of Ben buying engagement rings in bulk, and I’ve heard stories of his popularity as a teen, so I’m quite confident that the truth of the matter is that he was as much sought after back then as he was at the height of his fame. ❀
