Lyrics: Even Angels Fall

Even Angels Fall by Benjamin Orr (written by Benjamin Orr and John Kalishes ©1994)

I have felt your fires flow and I now feel your winter’s cold

So now I know the meaning of ‘alone’ and I know how angels fall

Even angels fall

I see writings on the wall and I hear the wilderness, it calls

And I have found a place among these things and I know how angels fall

Even angels fall, like diamonds from your eyes

Even angels fall

And you know when you go you have my attention

So you see what you’ve sown, sure goes a long long way

Are you sure you’re right? Are you sure you don’t feel guilty?

I have felt your fires flow and I still feel your winter’s cold

And now I know the meaning of ‘alone’

Even angels fall, like diamonds from your eyes

Even angels fall

Even angels fall, like diamonds from your eyes

Even angels fall

Lyrics: Dangerous Type

Dangerous Type by The Cars (written by Ric Ocasek, ©1979)

Can I touch you, are you out of touch

I guess I never noticed that much

Geranium lover, I’m live on your wire

Oo come and take me whoever you are

She’s a lot like you, the dangerous type

She’s a lot like you, come on and hold me tight

Oh inside angel, always upset

Keeps on forgetting that we ever met

Can I bring you out in the light

My curiosity’s got me tonight

She’s a lot like you, the dangerous type

She’s a lot like you, come on and hold me tight

Museum directors with high shaking heads

They kick white shadows until they play dead

They want to crack your crossword smile

Oo can I take you out for a while, yeah

She’s a lot like you, the dangerous type

She’s a lot like you, come on and hold me tight

She’s a lot like you, the dangerous type

She’s a lot like you, come on and hold me tight

Tonight

She’s a lot like you, the dangerous type

She’s a lot like you, come on hold me tight

Lyrics: I’m Coming Home Tonight

I’m Coming Home Tonight (written by Benjamin Orr and John Kalishes, ©1993*)

You think it’s easy walking on air

And you think I’m crazy; hell, what do I care?

‘Cause I’ve got news for you, dear

Yeah I’ve got news for you

I wrote you a letter I forgot to mail

And I tried to call you but the telephones failed

And I said I’d fax you, or maybe email

A telegram’s another plan, or on a pigeon’s tail

I’ve thought it over once or twice

Yeah, I’ve thought it over once or twice… and it’s the least I can do

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

‘Cause I’ve got news for you, dear

Yeah, I’ve got news for you

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

I sent you a message in a sake bottle

It crashed on the rocks and shattered something awful

And I’ve thought it over once or twice

Yeah, I’ve thought it over once or twice… yeah it’s the least I can do

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

I’m coming home tonight, dear… I’m coming home tonight

Lyrics: Shooting for You

Shooting for You by The Cars (written by Ric Ocasek, ©1983)

Simmer down, I got the shakes

When you touch me something breaks

You gotta let me know

You let me know you’re dangerous

I’ve seen ‘em all, I’ve seen ‘em twice

You left them all in paradise

You gotta let me know

You let me know that you’re dangerous

I’ll be shooting for you, I’ll be shooting for you tonight

I’ll be shooting for you, I’ll be shooting for you tonight

You don’t need no backdoor heart

Someday I’m gonna get real smart

You gotta let me know

You gotta let me know you’re dangerous

I’ll be shooting for you, I’ll be shooting for you tonight

I’ll be shooting for you, I’ll be shooting for you tonight

You don’t need no self-control

Put you in a pigeon hole

You gotta let me know

C’mon let me know that you’re dangerous

Lyrics: Dream Trader

Dream Trader by Milkwood/Cap’n Swing

There was a man from Maryland who said he could not feel

He had a hard time telling just what was real

To lie beneath the frozen sky searching for a sign

The clouds, they billowed gracefully in strange design (like crystal line, yeah)

And as he watched them wane, drifting off to sleep

To dream of sailing ships on down in the Chesapeake

He might have stayed there all day feeling so fine just chugging wine

So fine just chugging wine

So fine just chugging wine

They found him in the morning, he was facedown beside a stream

He never did awaken, oh no, from that dream

From that dream, from that dream

Lyrics: Open Your Eyes

This song was apparently written by Benjamin Orr and Diane Gray Page but left partly unfinished. It was given to producer Dave Harris to finish. He collaborated with Chris Horvath and Michael Willett to complete the song, and recorded it for a charity project to benefit the Kawasaki Disease Foundation.

Performed by Scott Bell on vocals, Elliot Easton on guitar, Greg Hawkes on keyboards, and John “JR” Robinson on drums. Recorded at Dark Horse Studios on October 9-12, 2015. Read the full article here: Scott Bell: Making a Connection

Open Your Eyes

You knew I wasn’t the one when I gave up the ring

You thought it couldn’t be done so you left it up to me

Do I have to break a heart again

Before I fall apart, my friend

Open your eyes because it’s getting clearer

Don’t be a boxer without a fight

I had to leave you alone to break free from myself

I’m in the sunlight zone and it’s so damn hard to see

Anything you have to say, you’ve said

But before you look away

Open your eyes because it’s getting clearer

Don’t make me worth the sacrifice

Open your eyes, look for something better

Don’t Frankenstein us back to life

We have been ‘round here before

Staring at the door

Open your eyes and see because it’s getting clearer

Don’t be a boxer without a fight

Open your eyes, look for something better

Open your eyes to paradise

Open your eyes, open your eyes

I’m in the sunlight zone and it’s so damn hard to see

Open your eyes to paradise

Lyrics: Do You Know What It Feels Like

Do You Know What It Feels Like (written by Benjamin Orr and John Kalishes ©1993)

No surprise, I got your call; there’s no regrets, we’ve said it all

Do you know what it feels like?

Guess you can’t go back again, so very hard to watch you act, my friend

Do you know what it feels like?

And so… a time to let go and see how it flows without you.

You lose a lead, a broken car, you drop a beat and there you are

Do you know what it feels like?

It’s said and done, now I’m the one who pulls the strings so dance for me

Do you know what it feels like?

And so… a time to let go and take to the road without you.

You know your looking glass has frozen me

And you know I’m not where I used to be

The tables have turned and the bridges have been burned

So in the end the truth rings true after all I’ve learned from you

Do you know what it feels like?

And so… it’s time to let go and see how it flows…

And so… I take to the road and see how it goes without you

I found a couple different versions of this song; the lyrics I typed here go with this recording below. The image in the video is deceptive; this is *not* a Milkwood song.

Here’s the other studio recording I found; some slight variations in the lyrics:
